CONSTITUTION OF INDIA
The Indian constitution was framed by the constituent Assembly, which was set up in 1946. Dr. Rajendra Prasad was the first president of the constituent Assembly. The Constituent Assembly took 2 years, 11 months and 18 days to frame the Constitution. The Indian constitution came into force on 26th January 1950. The Indian constitution begins with a preamble ( introduction) to the constitution. Our constitution defines the goals, rights and duties to be followed by the citizens of India.
